I can't believe how long it's been since I've written. It's been such a crazy week. I found out Monday at 3:47 that we had a meetings every day from 4-7pm. That put swimming in jeopardy and makes for a very long day if you start at 7 am!
I'm very happy to say that I did swim Monday, Wednesday and Friday and that helped so much. I was very grateful that I had the release from the stress of work.
I wasn't so good about eating or logging my food. I know it sounds like an excuse, but when you only have a few 10-15 minute breaks in your day, it makes it hard to plan/make meals.
As I write this I'm watching the very last "What Not to Wear" show. They weren't supposed to end the show without helping me!!!
There were a few things that I did this week that surprised me. Both were on Wednesday. First, walking on Wednesday, I noticed that a lady down the street was getting rid of a bunch of furniture. One of the pieces was an antique buffet. It was beautiful! I actually went back and took it off of the street!
The other thing I did was Botox! When I went for my 4 month post-op I met with aesthetic practitioner to see if there were things I could do to help preserve my skin. One of the things she recommended was Botox for my huge worry line between my eyes. Since I get a lot of migraines, especially recently, I asked if it would help with those. She can't do the type for insurance, but many of her patients have headache relief. So I went ahead and did it! Something I never thought I would do!
One thing that I realized while swimming tonight was that I really don't have any active goals right now. I read several other blogs they have inspired me to set some goals. I will be looking at events over the weekend to find something for next year.
Do you guys have any goals that you are working towards? Also, how do you pick yourself up and start over when you feel like you are stuck and not moving forward? That's kind of where I am.
I have meetings from 7-7 most of next week so it will be hectic again. Of course there are 20 million things this weekend so I don't have a lot of time to cook ahead for the week. Hopefully I will figure something out!
