Another Great Day!
First, I need to apologize for missing a post yesterday. I didn't realize until after Wednesday's post that I was REALLY dehydrated from swimming. I started with a headache and nausea. When I went to the bathroom, I had brown pee! That's never happened before. I know that's TMI, but I've been dehydrated walking or biking, but I never thought about swimming. I guess I need to figure out how to tell if I'm pushing myself in the water.
I was really surprised that the symptoms carried over to Thursday. I just felt miserable and ended up taking the afternoon off to sip Gatorade and nap. It was basically all I could do to feed myself and get to bed last night. I realized when I woke up that I forgot to write about the day.
Today was a pretty good day. I finally felt good again - thank goodness. The best part was that I thought that the PG&E was going to want to be in my garage at 7 am. But that's next Friday yea! There were a lot of meetings today, but nothing too bad.
I mentioned the other night that I lost my ActiveLink in the pool. So today, I tried the Fitbit One. It works the same way and it measures steps, stairs/hills, calories. and sleep. I was really surprised that I got over 4,000 steps with the first walk with the dogs. I had over 7,000 after the second walk. Unfortunately, When I changed into my swim suit, I forgot to put it back on. But I ended up walking 3.2 miles, 7204 steps, burning 2141 calories, and the equivalent of 23 flights of stairs (I was really surprised to see that it counted the hills/change of elevation as stairs).
To prepare for swimming I sipped some Gatorade on the way to the pool and a little more on the way home. I also made sure I ate some protein mid-afternoon. I also made the "best" fried rice on Pinterest afterwords to make sure I had enough electrolytes. I'm a salty sweater so that's important and I did not to feel that sick again! It was really good, I would just use less sesame oil next time.
I do have to brag about the swim. It was a different coach tonight and I really liked her. When I told her that this was my second night she said the aim for about 1,000 yards. By the time the work out was over I had swam 1,400 years! And, I did 5, yes FIVE, lengths of fly. I was very proud of myself.
I do have to add an interim goal. I would like to be in "onederland" by March 29. I'm a fan of Robin Thicke and he will be in San Francisco that evening. My friend is part of his family, so we always go backstage after the show. He is very generous and always gives us a hug & kiss when we come in and as we leave. I don't think he knows my name, but he knows I'm always with Trena!
Weigh in is tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous. I know I've exercised quite a bit this week, but I had some salt tonight with the soy sauce on the rice. Hopefully, I won't be retaining water! Wish me luck!
Till tomorrow!
xxoo
